Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged for pioneering the study of child witnesses as well as eyewitness memories in the legal setting. Professor Goodman has published numerous papers as well as received numerous grants. She has also received several international and national prizes. She has collaborated with a variety of government agencies and institutions throughout the world in policy and research pertaining to children who are victims of the legal system. She acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She has memberships with numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the President of the American Psychological Association's three divisions that include Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
